On Saturday, September 7, a flurry of bright colours, laughter and aromatic food hailed the arrival of over 400 people to The Downs GAA club to celebrate Onam, an important festival in the Indian calendar.
Onam is an annual harvest and cultural festival celebrated mostly by the people of the Indian state of Kerala, where it is an official annual event.
