The country lost a great musician when Paddy Cole died last Wednesday, 22 January, at the age of 85, following a three year battle with lung cancer, but one Mullingar man also lost a good friend.
Tommy Swarbrigg along with brother Jimmy, played with Paddy many times on The Showband Show from its inception in 2010 to 2015, but they had been friends for many decades before that.
