The Westmeath ladies football team and manager Sean Finnegan are dejected and disappointed after losing last Sunday’s All-Ireland Ladies Intermediate Football final to Meath in Croke Park.

At the final whistle last Sunday in Croke Park the Westmeath senior ladies football team sank to their knees in despair and disappointment. They had been beaten by six points by Meath, a very strong and talented Meath side who deserved to win on the day, but that couldn’t hide the Westmeath girls disappointment at losing an All-Ireland final.
