Various road safety issues were raised during the February meeting of the Municipal District of Mullingar and Kinnegad on Monday, 10 February.
Cllr Andrew Duncan asked the District to implement traffic calming measures at Taughmon school. The Council noted that low-cost safety works have been completed at this location including the installation of electronic signage and added that it will be examined to see if further works are needed. District engineer Pat Kavanagh said one of the issues at this location is a climbing lane near the road from Crookedwood.
