Local representatives welcomed steps taken to resolve congestion at “McDonald’s junction” during a Mullingar–Kinnegad Municipal District meeting on Monday, 9 September.
Cllr Andrew Duncan asked Westmeath County Council to provide an update on proposals to the long-standing issue. The Council said the District and Transportation Section will bring forward “alternative proposals for junction improvements” which will require a funding source.
