Gary Hill, well-known locally in Mullingar for surviving cancer twice, reached another huge milestone after completing his 250th parkrun last Saturday morning, 28 June alongside his granddaughter, Leonie Hanan, who celebrated her 100th parkrun.
The weekly run became a part of his routine five years ago and he has stuck to it with great consistency, telling Topic that it, in addition to frequent swims in the lake, helped him in his recovery journey.
