Accurate free-taking from Lough Lene Gaels star, Caoimhe McCrossan, along with a goal from Caoimhe McCormack, were not enough as Down took the points away from Joristown last Saturday afternoon in the second round of the Very National Camogie League Division 1B. Paula O’Hagan did the damage, mostly in the final quarter, as the Ulster side showed their experience to win by nine points.
