Westmeath hurlers left in disarray after extremely disappointing defeat to Laois

The Westmeath senior hurling team are certainly at a crossroads after a hugely disappointing nine-point defeat to Laois in this Joe McDonagh Cup Senior Hurling Round 1 game played at Laois Hire O’Moore Park, Portlaoise on Saturday afternoon last.

While the final margin on the scoreboard is a nine-point defeat for Westmeath, Laois were comfortably on top for most of this game and they led by 13-points midway through the second half.
