Westmeath Ladies slipped to a big defeat at Páirc Chiarán, Athlone last Sunday afternoon with Clare coming out on top in a one-sided encounter. The visitors enjoyed a fourteen-point lead at half-time and although Westmeath were more competitive in the second half, there was little consolation as Clare eventually ran out winners by sixteen points.
