Although many of her neighbours, friends, former sports and teaching colleagues, and pupils were aware that Liz Cahill (née Shaw), who taught in St. Joseph’s School, Rochfortbridge, was seriously ill, news of her death on Monday of last week, 14 October, brought a tremendous outpouring of grief, shock and sadness.
Only in her mid forties, the former Raharney camogie player and coach and winner of seven senior camogie medals with her club, also played with Westmeath senior team.
