Body&Soul, the popular arts and music festival held in Westmeath’s Ballinalough Castle, has released a statement saying “it’s time for us to evolve further” and are “hitting pause”. The summer solstice festival was expected to take place in June 2024. Founded by Avril Stanley and entirely female-led, it featured music, comedy, dance, live podcast recordings and more.
The announcement was made on bodyandsoul.ie and on social media where the reaction was one of disappointment but support for the festival that, in it’s own words, “proudly creates inclusive creative experiences that bring together people from diverse backgrounds to collaborate on an ongoing experiment in creativity and community.”
