Two goals from Jack Duncan helped Fr Dalton’s to take the Senior B hurling title in the most dramatic fashion after a pulsating and tension-filled tussle with Delvin in TEG Cusack Park, Mullingar, last Saturday afternoon.
The forward, who also lined out for Milltown in the replayed intermediate football final 48-hours later, was a constant threat and with high-scoring Owen McCabe in tandem beside him, Fr Dalton’s always looked to be on the brink of success. Delvin, reliant on the astonishing talent that is Darragh Clinton, were within a puck of scoring an equaliser at the end but will take no consolation in the fact that they came so close as the Ballymore-based outfit head back to the top-tier for 2025.
