IT’S time to get the hat out as next Saturday is Littlewoods Ladies Day at the Kilbeggan Races. A race meeting favourite in Kilbeggan, Ladies Day offers female spectators the chance to not only enjoy a fun day out and heart stopping spectacle of racing over jumps, but also the opportunity to glam up!
This year’s Ladies Day competition will be judged by well-known bi-lingual TV Presenter Síle Seoige. The former RTÉ and TG4 television presenter will be keeping a close eye on the fashion stakes as the racing action takes place over the evening. This year Littlewoods Ireland are giving the lucky winner a shopping spree to the value of €1,500, and there will also be 9 runner-up gift vouchers to the value of €100 for those who impress Síle on the day. Each year at Kilbeggan the style stakes are high and no doubt this year will be a fashion feast for the eyes!
RACING ACTION
Racing action will begin at 5.25 p.m. when the quiet midlands town will transform into a festival of social and sporting pleasure, drawing admirers from every corner of Ireland. Admission for adults is €12, and students and OAPs can enter for €10. There will also be a discount available for large groups. Children under 16 can enter for free. A special family discount package is available for €20 (2 parents with children under the age of 16). Tickets can now be purchased at Centra and SuperValu outlets nationwide or online at tickets.ie.
