The chilling story of how a Mullingar-based criminal gang became the first convicted case of human trafficking in Ireland, was outlined in stark detail during the broadcast of an hour-long documentary in recent days.
Broadcast last Wednesday evening, 23 October, “The Case I Can’t Forget: Trafficked For Sex” on RTÉ One, outlined at length the case surrounding four Nigerian women who were unwittingly trafficked for sex in Ireland and how a case was built to secure the convictions of their traffickers.
