Moate boxer Joe Ward created history when he became the first Irishman to win a hat-trick of European gold medals when he defeated Russia’s Muslim Gadzhimagomedov in the final of the light-heavyweight division at the European Championships in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on Saturday last.
