The line-up for Bulmers Live at Leopardstown 2016 was completed last week with the announcement of two more acts to play at Leopardstown Racecourse this summer. Mullingar band The Academic, one of the fastest rising young bands in Ireland, are confirmed to play on Thursday, 16 June, while one of this country’s best live bands, Hermitage Green, are announced for Thursday, 14 July.
The two bands complete a fantastic line-up for Bulmers Live at Leopardstown 2016, that will also see Aslan (9 June), Nathan Carter (23 June), Jack L (7 July), Booka Brass Band (21 July), The Strypes (4 August), The Boomtown Rats (11 August) all play to huge crowds at the Racecourse Stage on Thursday nights over the summer.
The Academic are one of the most exciting new bands around right now and tipped for major international success. Their hit debut single, ‘Different’ was recently nominated for the Choice Music Prize Best Song and with the follow up release of their debut EP ‘Loose Friends,’ the band have been tearing up venues across Ireland, UK and Europe while already supporting indie legends such as the Pixies.
