Westmeath Senator Aidan Davitt has co-sponsored a private members bill in Seanad Éireann, which could require online providers of pornographic material to conduct strict age verification to ensure minors can’t access their material.
The Protection of Children (Online Age Verification) Bill will be introduced by independent Senator Rónán Mullen this week and will get its Second Reading during a debate on Thursday, 11 July.
