There was great news for Mullingar Boxing when John Donoghue was crowned European Junior Boxing champion at 66kg at the European Junior Championships in Sarajevo, Bosnia last weekend.
John Donoghue, who was crowned World Junior champion in 2023, produced some great performances to win a gold medal and be crowned Best Boxer at the championships. Meanwhile Eddie Corcoran from Elite BC won a bronze medal while competing at his first international tournament – a great achievement.
