Despite being behind twice and trailing by five as the clock hit sixty-minutes of normal time, Bunbrosna fought back to win an extra-time thriller in Shandonagh last Sunday afternoon as The Downs could not find a way to overcome their experienced opponents in the quarter-final of the junior championship.
A fine tally of six from full-forward, Barry O’Mara, continued his fine season and kept his side in contention for silverware this year. Na Dúnta will scratch their heads looking back at this, particularly when they missed an open goal moments before the fightback.
