Niall Horan wows fans with two magical nights in Kilmainham

Niall Horan played two sold-out shows at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin on Friday, 23 August and Saturday, 24 August.

“Dublin and the country of Ireland, thank you so much for coming to see me these past two nights. I’ll keep flying the flag high. Love you all,” Niall posted on X after the gigs.

The concerts were part of Niall’s worldwide tour in support of his new album, The Show. It is his biggest tour since 2018’s Flicker World Tour. Fans were treated to an unexpected duet when Niall welcomed pop superstar Ed Sheeran on stage to perform ‘Little Things. Sheeran wrote ‘Little Things’ for One Direction from their second album, Take Me Home.

“He loves this country dearly and made his way across from England today to be here with us tonight. Can you please give it up for my good friend, the great Ed Sheeran,” Niall said as he introduced Sheeran.

The Mullingar man’s setlist was full of hits including ‘Slow Hands’, ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ and ‘This Town’. Niall has brought the tour all over the world including gigs in Europe, Australia, Asia and North America. He will now head to Central and South America following his Dublin shows. When he announced the run of shows, Niall said his “favourite thing in the world is being on tour”.

“Performing my songs for my fans and sharing those incredible moments together are the reasons why I write music in the first place. This is going to be my best tour yet and I cannot wait to see all you ‘lovers’ on the road in 2024.”

“There’s nothing better than watching the crowd sing back to you with all that emotion on their faces and knowing that they’re attaching the song to something meaningful in their own lives. To me, that’s always the greatest thing that can ever come from songwriting.”
