Coralstown native is chosen as Westmeath Rose

Westmeath’s Rose, Niamh Moriarty (27) was still floating on air after been chosen as the Westmeath Rose when Topic spoke with her this week.

Niamh, who hails from MacNead’s Bridge, Coralstown, battled it out with 15 applicants to represent her county at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone on Saturday to take part in this year’s Rose of Tralee. Candidates have even more reason to want to earn their place on the famous international competition with the successful applicant set to go all the way to the famous Dome in Tralee this August.
