Next Saturday is a big day for Fr Ulic Tory, OFM, who will celebrate the 50th anniversary of his ordination with Mass in the Church of the Nativity, Ballynacargy, at 6.30pm.
Fr Ulic has enjoyed a remarkable career and has left an indelible mark on life in the county of Westmeath in both his work as a priest and as a leader in the GAA community. Chairman of the Westmeath County Board from 1982 to ’85, he was very highly regarded by all involved and impressed many with his memorable speeches.
