Bennett’s have the tools for success at industry awards

Mullingar’s Bennett Construction had a lot to celebrate earlier this month when they took home not one but two significant awards at the Construction Industry Awards 2017 winning both the “Contractor of the Year Award” as well as “Residential Project of the Year Award”.
This award recognises the most outstanding contractor in Ireland over the past 12 months with judges looking for skilled delivery and exemplary practices that demonstrated the ability to deliver world class outcomes on a variety of projects.
Bennett Construction is an international family owned construction services company with offices and projects in Dublin, London and Germany.
The Bennett Group was founded in 1917 in Mullingar and since then the group has grown dramatically in both size and reputation. The company first entered the UK and particularly the London market in the mid 1980s and have a broad portfolio of successfully completed projects across a range of sectors including Residential, Restoration / Refurbishment, Hospitality, Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical.
“The award is a great recognition of the hard work and commitment from all the Bennett team. Well done to all!,” a spokesperson told Topic.
The awards took place on Tuesday, 9 May at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin, where over 500 industry figures gathered to celebrate outstanding achievements at the 4th annual awards.
In all, 25 trophies were awarded across all the key areas of the construction industry. Judges commented that entries demonstrated a very high standard and confirmed that the Irish construction industry is currently in a strong but controlled growth phase with significant projects across all areas coming to completion with more in the pipeline. The awards were devised and organised by Business River and produced by Event Strategies. Judging was by and independent panel of distinguished experts led by Judging Co-ordinator Leo Harman, Director of Harmon Project Advise, all with wide experience from the construction industry in Ireland.
PROJECT AWARDS
As well Bennett Construction’s Binary Hub Student Accommodation in the Liberties being awarded the “Residential Project of the Year” award on Tuesday, the company received a number of other project awards this year. At the Irish Building and Design Awards in April, Bennett’s Airbnb Warehouse Building on Hanover Quay in Dublin won ‘Fit out Project of the Year’, and Leman Street Locke in London won ‘International Project of the Year’.
“We are thrilled to win these awards, and they re-affirm our continued commitment and goals for over a century which have always been to deliver quality projects and value for money to our clients and these awards are testament to this,” said the spokesperson.
INTERNATIONAL SAFETY AWARD
Elsewhere on Friday, 5 May, Bennett’s Fifty Seven East project won an International Safety Award with Merit from the British Safety Council in recognition of its commitment to keeping its workers and workplaces healthy and safe during the 2016 calendar year.
