Anna-Marie Leavy, one of Ireland’s greatest and most highly-regarded artists, is launching a unique local art exhibition at the Fair Green in Mullingar this Thursday, April 16.
The exhibition will take place upstairs at the Caring and Sharing Association (C.A.S.A.) Charity shop, located on the corner of St Loman’s Terrace at the Fair Green shopping centre, and Anna will be ‘cutting the ribbon’ at 7pm. The exhibition will run until Friday, May 22, and has been kindly funded by the Westmeath County Council Arts Office.
The Mullingar artist has inspired countless local artists by her successful watercolour career, including those who are displaying their work from Thursday. Upstairs at C.A.S.A. is the location of a pleasant coffee shop by day, but by night it’s a hub of art, with art classes taking place there weekly.
The exhibition will feature work from classes which took place at the Congress Centre in the town, and from Thursday April 23, art classes will continue at C.A.S.A. charity shop.
