The Department of Integration has poured cold water on social media rumours that it has changed its mind on using Mullingar’s Columb Barracks to temporarily house asylum seekers.
On Monday (27 March), it was claimed widely via social media that some of the 53 asylum seekers, who were moved into tented accommodation at the site on Friday (24 March), had been re-located.
