Illegal dumpers should “expect to be on camera” warns Council officer

Westmeath County Council has warned those who illegally dump waste within the county to “expect to be on camera” as the council announced its 2024 Anti-Dumping Initiative.

John Jackson, the council’s Community Climate Officer, said he hoped new funding and powers, like the use of CCTV would be a “potent weapon” to combat dumping.
