A local mum who hopes to run the Dublin Marathon this year has already raised €10,000 for Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (ABI) after she almost lost her son to a serious brain injury in 2021.
Phyllis Baker began her ‘One Step at a Time’ appeal last November.
The 47-year-old Ballymahon resident recently decided to pick up running for the cause as she believed it to be similar to the gruelling rehabilitation process that brain injury survivors go through.
