By Diarmuid Sherry. Mullingar has long produced stars in the world of song, dance and acting, from Joe Dolan, Niall Horan to Niamh Algar. Now another young actor is beginning his own journey to a starlight success.
For the last year, 23-year old Nathan Daly has been singing, dancing and skating in Bochum, Germany in the 1980’s hit musical ‘Starlight Express’ playing both the lead character ‘Rusty’ as well as the Italian national champion in the production, ‘Espresso.’ “It is a bloody crazy musical in a good way” said Nathan. “It is about trains really and it is an underdog story where the underdog comes out on top against all the big people.”
