The best in local fashion is to grace the premises of Miller & Cook in the heart of Mullingar on Thursday, 26 May for the inaugural “Westmeath Fashion Week” which will see boutiques and designers from across the county showcase looks from their summer collections.
Organiser Stuart Montgomery came up with the idea after doing similar events throughout his career. “I used to run a number of fashion events with Brendan Courtney from Off the Rails. The likes of fashion weeks are becoming really popular around the country. There’s a really well established fashion festival in Kerry and Cork Fashion and obviously you have a fashion festival in Dublin so I thought why not bring something like that to Westmeath and showcase the various talented designers and wonderful boutiques that we have right on our doorsteps.”
Mr. Montgomery, who is owner of Bespoke Advertising, an events and social media company based in Mullingar, said the fashion show will feature a large selection of boutiques from Athlone and Mullingar.
