A fairytale success by the Michael O’Leary owned ‘Rule the World’ in the most famous steeplechase of them all, the Aintree Grand National, was celebrated in style in Mullingar last Sunday as hundreds turned out for a special homecoming celebration.
‘Rule the World’, the nine-year-old who powered to victory in Saturday’s big race, was paraded through Austin Friars Street and led into Mullingar Town Park, where fans greeted the new champion and got the chance to pose for photographs with the famous Crabbie’s Grand National trophy.
