Raharney turn on the style to clinch Minor League title

Raharney produced a powerful display of hurling to defeat Na Piarsaigh by 12-points and win this Westmeath Minor Hurling Division 1 League final played at Joristown, Raharney, last Friday evening, 24 May. From the opening minutes of this keenly contested final Raharney held the upper hand. The Deelsiders led by 1-10 to 0-4 at the end of the first quarter and by half time they led by 14-points, 2-16 to 0-8.

Even though Na Piarsaigh scored a goal in the first minute of the second half, they couldn’t cut the deficit by any more than 11 points and once Winston Larkin fired in Raharney’s third goal in the 51st minute the contest was well and truly over.
