A meeting at Harvard University on 12 February exploring international collaboration and innovative teaching methods turned into a Mullingar reunion. The Mullingar–Harvard collaboration began in November 2022 when 12 teachers from Mullingar Community College (MCC) travelled to Boston to learn about teaching practice. Harvard University lecturer and Ballinderry man Professor J Kevin Nugent met with the 12 MCC teachers on this occasion. “I was very impressed by them altogether. They were incredibly committed, curious, dedicated teachers. It was so refreshing,” Professor Nugent told Topic.
“It was great to see a shift in education as reflected in their practice. Their dedication to their students was palpable.”
