At the end of this Post Primary Schools North Leinster Junior Football ‘A’ Championship semi-final the Coláiste Mhuire players fell to their knees in despair, having lost this semi-final by four points. In truth it was a game that could have gone either way, with the stronger, more physical St Pat’s side scoring their second goal with the last kick of the game to seal victory and a place in the final.
In the seconds prior to that goal, Coláiste Mhuire had been on the attack in the search of an equalising point. It was that close. And at the final whistle, it was despair for the players from the Mullingar college.
