Cluain Lir Community Nursing Unit, Mullingar are applying the the final touches to their garden it entered in Ireland’s premier gardening show, Bord Bia Bloom in Dublin. The Mullingar-based nursing home has entered the Postcard Garden category at the Phoenix Park event, which runs from Thursday, 30 May until Monday, 3 June.
Project coordinator and keen gardener, Carol Hayden said: “It is a huge honour to be accepted into this wonderful event. We’re embracing it and looking forward to bringing the Resident’s garden from a small corner of Mullingar to a prestigious national stage. It is very exciting.”
