A fine second-half performance by Scoil Mhuire NS Loughegar, saw them crowned Cumann na mBunscol Boys Football Division 2 champions after they overcame Scoil Chroí Naofa Rochfortbridge by 15 points in this final played in TEG Cusack Park, Mullingar, on Wednesday afternoon of last week, 22 May.
A tight opening first half saw Loughegar go in leading at the break by four points, 1-8 to 1-4, after Keelan Harvey had scored a goal in the closing stages. A goal by Antonio Bertolo at the start of the second half increased the lead for Scoil Mhuire Loughegar before they took command to eventually run out convincing winners.
