Dominick Street is set to get a make over in the form of a large print that will pay homage to Mullingar’s musical talent including Niall Horan, Niall Breslin and Joe Dolan.
The project is the result of a combined effort by Dominick Street traders, Signs Express, the Westmeath Arts Council and An Post to improve the appearance of Dominick Street.
Tomas Nally, Secretary of the Traders’ Association, told Topic, “We feel there hasn’t really been anything done to celebrate Niall’s huge success especially. He’s also a good patron on the street and there’s a lot of shops that him and his family would come into. It’s going to be a pretty big piece of art. Mullingar is a seriously musical spot and we want the print to showcase this.”
