‘Indefinite’ camp-out protestors dig in outside gates of Columb Barracks

A small group of people have camped outside of the entrance to Columb Barracks “indefinitely” in protest against government plans to move 120 asylum seekers into the facility.

The group are made up of mostly locals and have erected a tent and a gazebo outside of the barracks’ walls since Friday, 24 February, in an effort to keep a constant, 24/7, presence there.
