THE community of Killucan grounded to a standstill for a moment last Wednesday morning, 17 May as Irish Rugby Coach Joe Schmidt paid a visit to St. Patrick’s National School, Edmondton.
On what was a day of sunshine, the legendary New-zealander visited the school as part of the awarding of an Active School Flag to the school.
Arriving shortly after 11.30am, Mr. Schmidt was greeted to great cheer and fanfare, spending time speaking to the staff, pupils and parents of the school as well as local business people, before addressing the pupils directly on the importance of keeping active.
