Months of preparation into Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann culminated last week as Mullingar braced itself for the arrival of more than 500,000 visitors to the town.
The last coat of paint was applied to shopfronts, bins were placed on every corner, stages were erected, and streets were powerwashed over the weekend leading up the event.
