Local parents, whose autistic children were shortly due to attend the new Curraghmore National school are among the hardest hit by ongoing completion delays.

This week, they expressed serious concerns to Topic fearing their children will be seriously affected by the temporary arrangements, and having to travel to attend the autism unit at St. Etchen’s National School, Kinnegad.

They also explained that changing schools once again in October will be detrimental to the children’s progress, because routine is crucial to their development.
