At a Black Tie Gala Ball in the Radisson Hotel in Galway last weekend, online retailers were recognised at the Retail Excellence Ireland Awards 2017. One of the three retailers to come out on top were Mullingar duo Jane Swarbrigg and Conor Cochrane who celebrated their win with the rest of Inglot Cosmetics team after winning the Retail Excellence Ireland, Digital Campaign of the Year Award.
Jane, daughter of well know Musician Tommy Swarbrigg is Managing Director of the ever, expanding cosmetic company and runs the family business alongside her mother Geraldine and brother Peter. The brand now has 15 stores and a team of over 250 staff and is going from strength to strength having just opened in Waterford and next week in Derry.
Conor is the son of Angela and John Cochrane and runs his own business, Social Media Elite.
The Digital Campaign in question was The Inglot Pro Team Roadshow which saw them tour the country with a squad of Inglot make-up artists educating a host of young ladies, and a few gents, at 15 sold out shows around Ireland, including Mullingar last June.
The roadshows saw over 10,000 make-up lovers attend this year and watch Inglot’s elite make-up artist work their magic on stage.
Inglot owner and roadshow host Jane also gives attendees a great insight into the industry and valuable lessons on how to make it as an Inglot MUA.
Roadshow attendees are provided with product lists and an online discount code to allow them to shop for the products demonstrated from the comfort of their own home afterwards.
The roadshows very quickly built momentum and plans for the Inglot Roadshow 2017 are already in place and promise to be even bigger and better.
Jane from Inglot said: “We are thrilled to win this award and see our hard work recognised. I want to thank everyone from the Inglot team who helped roll out the roadshows, which was a laborious but thoroughly enjoyable experience and a year we will never forget. Sincere thanks to Conor whose phenomenal marketing plan was nothing short of genius.”
Business-savvy Jane was nominated for the Image Young Business Woman of the Year Award late this month. “We love getting our clients involved, be it in stores, at the roadshows or via social media outlets. They are the driving force behind Inglot’s success and we try to give back as often as we can.”
Commenting on the wins, Lynn Drumgoole, Communications Director at Retail Excellence Ireland, said: “Irish retailers are among the best to use the latest technologies to increase awareness of their brands, drive customer engagement and sell via their websites and social media. The awards recognise how Irish brands are engaging customers and delivering a specific online experience. We were delighted to have such a high standard of finalists, which made the judging process a difficult one.”
The awards were presented by broadcaster Hector Ó hEochagáin. The sell-out event was attended by more than 500 Irish retail industry executives.
