Congratulations to Mullingar Pool player Shane Hopkins who this week was crowned European Under 18 Pool champion for 2023 following his victory in Malta.
Shane’s win is all the more remarkable as he is just 16 years of age.
Shane, the son of well-known Mullingar taxi driver Philip Hopkins and Clare (Taaffe) was delighted with his victory.
Shane was part of a large contingent of almost 200 Irish players and supporters that arrived in Malta last week for the European Eight Ball Pool Championships.
