Former Fine Gael TD Kate O’Connell, a native of Kilbeggan, is tipped to contest the upcoming by-election in Dublin Bay South, following Eoghan Murphy’s resignation announcement on Tuesday morning this week.
O’Connell (41) narrowly lost her seat at the 2020 general election and was not selected by Fine Gael to contest the subsequent Seanad election.
