Local artist Peter Ganly launched his first ever art exhibition, ‘Observer’, in the atrium of Westmeath County Council last Thursday, 5 January.
The contemporary artist had spent many years working in the motor trade and boat hire business at Lilliput, Lough Ennell which provided inspiration for many of his paintings on display.
He recently decided that enough was enough and enrolled in ATU Sligo where he graduated with a BA degree in Fine Art, swapping paddles for paint brushes.
While at the exhibition Mr Ganly said it was a “proud day” for him to be able to finally display some of his works.
