Spirits not dampened despite bad weather at ‘Relay for Life’

The weather may have been damp but there was no shortage of spirit at the ‘Relay for Life’ in Kinnegad last Saturday with attendees showing an amazing display of unity as they turned out in their droves to take part in the event, which honoured current and former cancer survivors, their families and friends.

It had been planned that the ‘Relay for Life’ event would be a 24-hour overnight relay game where each team was required to have a representative on the track at the GAA grounds in Kinnegad at all times. However, the day had to be cut short because of torrential rain.
