A 33-year-old Westmeath man is fighting for his life, following an attack in Dublin city centre. According to Independent.ie, the victim suffered serious head injuries in an attack at Aston Quay at 9.30pm yesterday, Wednesday.
He was rushed to St James’s Hospital where he is today reported to be in a critical but stable condition. Gardai have sealed off the scene pending a forensic examination.
No arrests have been made yet, but Gardai are set to view CCTV images from the area as well as interview witnesses in an effort to establish the sequence of events that led up to the attack.
