Just four days after suffering a hugely disappointing defeat to Clane CS, Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar bounced back with a very impressive 22-point victory over Coláiste Choilm, Tullamore, in Springfield, Mullingar on Monday of this week, 16 January.
Coláiste Mhuire led by just seven points at half time, 1-9 to 1-2, but an early second half goal by Matthew Thornton gave the Mullingar side the breathing space they needed and in the final ten minutes Dean McNicholas’ side scored four goals and four points to run out emphatic winners.
