Community steps it out for SVP

Many of those taking part had never done line dancing before, and some had never intended to, until they got into the swing of things during three rehearsals in the weeks leading up to last Saturday.
THANKS TO ALL
Pat Bryan, Secretary, SVP Killucan/Raharney and Shay Murtagh combined to think up the idea of an enjoyable community initiative that would also raise funds and awareness for SVP and, in particular, for SVP Killucan/Raharney.
Pat told Topic this week that he is astonished at the success of the occasion, and at the enjoyment of all in doing something very positive by way of fund-raising, and how it is being talked about near and far.
Gillian Murtagh is equally upbeat about the novel fund-raising and, like Pat, she thanked all who took part and all who helped in any way towards the success of the occasion.
She pointed out that more than 100 people, from across the community and several communities, combined their energies and enthusiasm to enjoy the line dancing fund-raising event, some of whom had never ventured to do line-dancing before.
VIDEO ONLINE
Pat Bryan and Gillian Murtagh explained that a video has been made of the line dancing fund-raising and can be viewed online.
Donations for SVP can be made via a link on SVP and Shay Murtagh Precast websites, on the Shay Murtagh website, on Facebook (www.facebook.com/pages/ShayMurtagh.ie), and on YouTube.
The SVP shop in Killucan is open from 11am to 1pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
