A leaked email has suggested that HSE plans to keep open services at the Paediatric Diabetes Clinic at Regional Hospital Mullingar were publicly released before the lead paediatric consultant had seen the letter. In the email, written my Prof. Michael O’Grady, it described the HSE plan, publicly released on Friday, 12 April, as “another sticking plaster” and that he was “disgusted” and “exhausted by it all” and he had “had enough of this place.”
Sinn Fein TD, Sorca Clarke, posted the email on her social media Instagram story on Saturday, 13 April, and said it was “an issue that the management of the hospital need to clarify.”
