Locked gate forces passengers to walk across the tracks at Mullingar station

Passengers at Mullingar Train Station were forced to cross the station’s tracks on foot last Sunday evening, 5 March, as a result of the gate at the station’s platform tunnel being locked.

The incident occurred on what is one of the busiest times of the week at Mullingar station, with students returning to universities in Dublin and Maynooth.
